Abstract:
I will present some examples of two and three Higgs doublet models where the requirement of "alignment" does not necessarily guarantee decoupling. In such scenarios, a heavy charged scalar in the TeV range can have relatively large contribution to the Higgs to diphoton decay amplitude causing the signal strength to be reduced by more than 10% from the corresponding SM expectation. These types of nondecoupling scenarios can be easily ruled out by a precision measurement of the diphoton signal strength. I will also comment on a similar situation that arises in a certain limit of the type II seesaw model.
