Abstract:
In this introductive seminar I will discuss the main virtues and flaws of Grand Unified Theories based on SO(10). In particular, I will focus on the ability to describe fermion masses and mixing and provide a good Dark Matter candidate as well on the problematic related to the large fine-tuning among the theory parameters to achieve such a good performance.
