Abstract:
I will discuss the problem of determining the correct new model beyond the Standard Model. This involves a cyclic process of theoretically constructing a model, then implementing it into simulation software, simulating the collisions of the Large Hadron Collider, and ending with comparison with experiment. An important bottleneck in this process is the implementation of the theoretical model in simulation software. FeynRules is a Mathematica package designed to improve the efficiency of this step. I will discuss the current status of FeynRules and compare with other similar packages. I will also introduce Galileo, a new package designed to improve this process further.
